Psychological Treatment

I am a Registered Psychologist, and I provide psychological services from a person-centered, strength-based, and intentionally integrative approach. I believe that all of us have a unique set of strengths that, when fostered, can lead to a great deal of personal growth and resiliency.

Core to my work is the belief that a rich therapeutic relationship, characterized by mutual respect, collaboration, honesty, trust, and openness, is key to facilitating meaningful change. Clients often describe me as extremely personable, as I aim to connect with clients each and every session at an emotionally engaging level.

I will provide services to children as young as 6 years old, and I take a family-oriented and family-involved approach when working with children and adolescents. I support parents and their children through parent-child dyad sessions, parenting support sessions, and child sessions. Please note that I do not work with families who are experiencing high-conflict separation/divorce. Also, I do not provide parenting assessments for the purpose of separation/divorce custody and access arrangements.

I have over a decade of experience in the mental health field, and have a wide range of professional experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of contexts, and I am a certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy). I also hold the position of Mental Health Consultant with CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health, providing consultative and training services to professionals and therapists who work with children and adolescents in the north and northeast zones in Alberta.

Also, I provide supervision for those who are in the process of registering with the College of Alberta Psychologists as Provisionally Registered Psychologists. Any individuals seeking supervision can contact me for additional information.
